Brief summary:
The extreme north corresponds to large Arctic with tundra and then subarctic expanses, both with a cold climate.
To the west are the Rocky Mountains and to the east are the Appalachian Mountains, the main mountain ranges. In the centre are the Great Plains.
Moving southwards we find deserts such as Sonora, many archaeological sites, and continuing towards the extreme south, warm tropical rainforests with high biodiversity.
The mainland is bounded on the west by the Pacific Ocean and on the east by the Atlantic Ocean, with different beaches on both coasts.
