Santa Elena

Information

It is a town located towards the east bank of the Paraná River, in the northwest of the province of Entre Ríos. It has a petrol station, grocery shops, lodgings and restaurants.

At the entrance of the town there is a spot where the carnival is celebrated during the summer months (January to March, the exact dates vary from year to year). On the river shore there is a public sandy beach and a municipal camping site (with tables, chairs and grills), which during the hot season and holidays are usually very crowded. In front of the waterfront there is a historical museum.

The access to Santa Elena departs from National Route 12, at about 129 km from the city of Paraná. There are buses coming every day from La Paz (Entre Ríos) and Paraná, and some days of the week from the City of Buenos Aires.
