Information

It is a mountain in the Andes Mountains, located in the province of Mendoza. At 6962 metres above sea level, it is the highest peak in America and in the southern hemisphere. For this reason, hundreds of climbers from all over the world arrive every year with the aim of reaching its summit.

The best way to get to know it is from the Aconcagua Provincial Park, a protected area within whose limits the mountain is located. In this park you can make the ascent to reach the summit. But there are also several trekking options of varying difficulty (and duration) that allow you to reach only some of its base camps, so you can get to know part of the ascent route without having to do the whole thing. It is worth clarifying that both the ascent to the summit and the different trekking options have certain requirements and require an authorisation to be able to do them.
